"This is the best place ever! My Dad lived there for about 1 yr and loved it, and me going to visit him felt like I was visiting the whole family. The staff and residents are very welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing and cooked fresh everyday. Dad valued his privacy and quiet time so having his own room was a must have. I highly recommend Abbeyfield, I hope they save me a room for when I am ready"

Our Kitchen

Food is at the center of our community.

At Abbeyfield, love and attention is put into our food. Along with our carefully selected market goods we have a marvelous garden which provides the house with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Our cooks are creative and passionate about the food they create including ample treats, baked fresh by our in-house bakers.

Breakfast is self-serve and available in the breakfast room, adjacent the dining room. Fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, preserves, and cereals are among the usual items provided.

The breakfast room is always available for snacks our residents can help themselves to between mealtimes, which are served twice a day.

Life at Abbeyfield

A day in the life of an Abbeyfield resident may include a light breakfast, a walk through the garden or around the block, doing a puzzle in the living room, a hearty lunch with the other residents, an afternoon nap, a cup of coffee and cookies with friends, a lighter dinner and a cozy evening with a book or their favorite tv shows.

Holidays and birthdays are celebrated with parties. There are weekly exercise classes and occasionally, musical performers will come to entertain.

Your monthly rent includes hydro, basic cable, all meals and snacks, laundry facilities and parking. Kitchen staff do all of the cooking and clean up and the housekeeper cleans all of the common areas in the house.
