About
Here at Abbeyfield Houses Society of Duncan, we are driven by a single goal; to provide a warm and comfortable home for our residents. Our large character home is surrounded by beautifully tended gardens, boasting flowers, fruits, and vegetables. We are located on a quiet street not far from downtown Duncan, in a friendly and close-knit neighborhood. We are within easy walking of Art Mann Park and the picnic area at Quamichan Lake. With our home-cooked meals, a compassionate and dedicated staff, including a live-in emergency responder, residents feel as though they have come home to a caring family. While our private rooms ensure privacy and downtime, our comfortable living and lounge areas offer space for gathering and socializing.

"This is the best place ever! My Dad lived there for about 1 yr and loved it, and me going to visit him felt like I was visiting the whole family. The staff and residents are very welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing and cooked fresh everyday. Dad valued his privacy and quiet time so having his own room was a must have. I highly recommend Abbeyfield, I hope they save me a room for when I am ready"
Our Kitchen
Food is at the center of our community.
At Abbeyfield, love and attention is put into our food. Along with our carefully selected market goods we have a marvelous garden which provides the house with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Our cooks are creative and passionate about the food they create including ample treats, baked fresh by our in-house bakers.
Breakfast is self-serve and available in the breakfast room, adjacent the dining room. Fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, preserves, and cereals are among the usual items provided.
The breakfast room is always available for snacks our residents can help themselves to between mealtimes, which are served twice a day.
